One of the results of the 2011 GLUE conference (which was amazing!) was a committee of folks working on creating [roughly] quarterly simultaneous physical meetups in GLUE cities which would be linked virtually. The goal is to keep momentum going between GLUE conferences, as well as meet others to eat and drink together.

We’ve added another site visit that will appeal to artists and anyone interested in beautifying our cities’ blighted neighborhoods. On this tour, conference goers will take a stroll down Penn Ave. in Garfield to see how two groups,
ecoDesigner’s Guild (eDG) and
Colorize Pittsburgh, are using creative strategies for shielding vacancy. Here’s an introduction to their projects:

Seriously, we don't think our new T-shirts could get any cooler.
I mean, are you kidding me with the skyline--linking together all the most prominent features of our cities' silhouettes?! And the industrial plumes that, upon closer inspection, reveal themselves to be leafy and green?

Buffalo tailgate party is coming to Times Square on Saturday, November 13th! The fourth annual "Buffalo Takes Manhattan" tailgate will benefit PUSH Buffalo, a group of community organizers working to make affordable housing a reality in Buffalo. This year's honoree and special guest is Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion Steve Mesler, a Buffalonian with a strong commitment to community service and his hometown.
Here are some new and exciting party developments:
--Two new powerful film shorts about Buffalo will receive their NYC premieres at 7:30 PM. The first was produced by the Convention and Visitors bureau in conjunction with Buffalo's preservation community and features stunning aerial footage of Buffalo. The second chronicles organizations, including PUSH, on the edge of the urban sustainability movement.
--Several leading Buffalo artists, including Julian Montague, will show work at the party.
--A date with Steve Mesler, our honoree, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
--Thanks to our sponsors, we will have plenty of Buffalo's two favorite beers-Labatts and Flying Bison-on hand.
Come celebrate a year of amazing successes in Buffalo's neighborhoods, as featured on Extreme Makeover!
